It used to be that ceramic drainage products were a luxury to papermakers. Used on only the biggest, fastest, highest volume machines, they were too expensive for the smaller machines. Now, this has changed.

Viking Foils has developed a low cost process for manufacturing Ceramic Foils, Suction Box Covers and other drainage elements. At about half the cost of conventional ceramics, this technology is now available to all machines.

These products are designed to operate on Fourdrinier paper machines in nearly all possible operating conditions. They have been successfully run at speeds up to 3700 feet per minute (1100 M/Min), in alkaline and acid environments, and under steam hoods where temperatures easily exceed 180º Fahrenheit (82º C).
